Outdoor Wall Lights Are Must Have Outdoor Lights!
Whether you go for lanterns, ledge lights, down lights or sensor lights; outdoor wall lights are the icing on the cake that is your property. Okay, perhaps that sounds a bit fanciful but it’s a fact that a well displayed, well-lit property not only looks good but is likely to be worth more than its poorly-illuminated neighbour.
Then, of course, there’s the indisputable fact that good garden lighting will encourage you to make more and better use of your garden., turning it into that often quoted but less often realised ‘extra room.’ And with the advent of outdoor heaters, you can eat al fresco at any time of the year.
It’s not just about good looks either. Thoughtfully installed garden wall lights will dispel shadowy corners, thereby making your home far less attractive to opportunist intruders, and they’ll also dramatically reduce the risk of garden slips and trips.
Still on the functionality thread, no matter how well-maintained you keep your garden, there will be hazards out. From slippery paths, through crooked paving, to garden ponds it really is your responsibility to ensure that all such hazards are highlighted. Simple wall lights on the patio, or mounted onto the sides or risers of garden steps will go a long way to preventing accidents. And, if the worst happens and somebody does slip or trip, at least you have recourse in law to say that even though the hazard existed it was well defined.
You can bring light to any size garden and, whether, large or small, your territory will be far more inviting if you shed some light on it. And, as you’re bound to have the odd wall knocking around – even if only those that hold up your roof – you can install lights!
Outdoor wall lights will cheer up the blank brick wall, providing a focal point, as well as transforming your patio or decking to a pleasant area for entertaining or al fresco eating. There’s not much you can buy nowadays that will add both style and functionality for such a reasonable outlay.
The truth of the matter is that outdoor lighting is the new black – if that’s not a contradiction in terms – and is now regarded as de rigueur in the best dressed gardens and as an integral part of the overall garden design. Outdoor lights provide a simple and economical entry point – although don’t be surprised if once you’ve dipped your toe in the water you decide you want to go for full immersion!
Nowadays your garden isn’t just for hot summer days; that precious outdoor space can be used in all seasons and at all hours. And, it has to be said, when you catch a glimpse of your illuminated garden from inside the house one evening, you’ll be glad you bought those first garden wall lights.
